Keeping Websites Relevant in the World of Social Media Dominance

As a solo practitioner business owner, effective time management is very important to me, and I am always on the look out for ways to leverage my time so that I can multi-task and get more bang for my time.

So . . . attending a Luncheon at the world renowned Brennan’s Restaurant – with a timely topic . . . And getting a chance to reconnect with my IABC colleagues was a no brainer.   http://www.iabchouston.com/events/516/

Allyson Neal, Chevron Corporation, had a well-researched presentation full of information, good examples and some great tips. She touted the importance of using Google analytics to determine current data about website visitors. . Which in turn, could help in defining the site’s message.

The use of responsive websites to keep our message in front of the growing number of mobile tablet and smart phone users was also recommended as being of paramount importance.

Allyson also discussed the importance of social media and some timely relevant tips to leverage SM, to support one’s marketing outreach.

All in all, an excellent presentation. The food was fabulous. I myself opted for the vegetarian option which turned out to be a fuffy veggie stuffed omelet. . Followed by a signature Brennan’s decadent dessert and coffee.

Reconnecting and mingling afterward with some of the attendees is always fun and that concluded another fine IABC Houston chapter professional development luncheon.

Well done Allyson and IABC Houston. . !
